Discover “Say It With Your Chest”, the captivating new R&B single from British talent Nippa’s latest EP “Homegrown”.

The rebirth of contemporary R&B runs through London

The contemporary R&B landscape is undergoing a profound regeneration, and much of the credit goes to the vibrant British scene. In this highly experimental environment, Nippa, a singer-songwriter originally from Tottenham, makes a powerful impact with his highly anticipated new EP titled Homegrown.

Among the tracks on the project, the third track, “Say It With Your Chest”, immediately stands out as one of the finest, most mature, and compelling moments of the entire record. The song perfectly captures the artist’s identity, effortlessly blending transatlantic influences with the UK’s signature urban vibes.

A soundscape between nostalgia and modernity

From a production standpoint, “Say It With Your Chest” is a true gem. The instrumental backdrop relies on warm, enveloping basslines, enriched by a drum groove that nods to classic 2000s productions without ever feeling nostalgic or dated.

On the contrary, the rhythmic structure maintains an incredible dynamic freshness. Over this sonic carpet, Nippa’s vocals glide with disarming fluidity, alternating velvety falsettos with a sharp vocal delivery inherited directly from his past in the rap scene, before his definitive transition to singing.

The deep meaning behind the lyrics

The song’s title itself comes from a well-known English idiom used to encourage someone to speak their mind with pride, firmness, and utter honesty. Throughout the lyrics, Nippa navigates the complex dynamics of modern relationships, highlighting the need for transparent, direct communication that is free of filters or mind games.

The artist urges his counterpart to “say it clearly”, facing feelings head-on. This communicative urgency aligns perfectly with the fierce and authentic attitude the singer has zawsze claimed since his early days in the N17 area.

Why you cannot miss this track

With this release, Nippa confirms his status as one of the most interesting and talented profiles to watch on the global scene. If you love smooth sounds but are also looking for a track with true grit and an infectious rhythm, you can listen to it right now on Nippa’s Spotify.

“Say It With Your Chest” is not just a filler track; it is definitive proof that European R&B has found a brilliant new leading voice.
