Interview with CainThaProphet: Discover “Venting”, described as “musical therapy”. The artist discusses truth, Rylo Rodriguez, Kevin Gates, and his upcoming album, “Lost Files”.
- How would you describe your new song to someone who hasn’t heard it yet? What emotions do you want to convey?
I’d frame CainThaProphet – Venting as the rawest form of therapy put to music , not polished, not dressed up, just unfiltered pain, honesty, and release.
“Venting” suggests Cain isn’t trying to make a hit here, he’s letting off steam, dumping out the weight of what he’s been holding inside. It’s about purging emotions, whether it’s anger, heartbreak, regret, or survivor’s guilt.
Instead of sermons or coded parables, this is more like ripping open the journal pages.
Sonically/lyrically, it’s confessional: you can almost hear the frustration in the cadence, the cracks in the voice, the exhaustion of carrying too much.
The vibe:
Catharsis over cadence — it feels less like rap and more like spilling.
Transparency — no metaphors to hide behind, just direct pain and blunt truth.
Isolation — the kind of track you imagine being recorded in a dim room, mic light glowing, no one else there.
Relatable therapy — like listeners get to sit in on Cain’s personal release, and in turn, it releases something in them too.
In short: Venting is CainThaProphet peeling back the armor, showing the cracks, and letting the pressure bleed out. It’s not just a track, it’s an emotional exhale.
2. What was the main inspiration for the song? Can you share personal stories or influences that guided you?
Now this one i blended and played with. Wanted to do bring a kevin gates/rylo feel to this song. kevin gates always is always leaving a powerful quote in songs, and I decided to do the same, while keeping the rylo vibes. This is probably my most favorite song ive made
3. How did the song come about? Were there any collaborations?
Venting came about, because i felt like nobody really felt my first drop. i just wanted to double back and give the people something else to vibe too. brought a little more energy for this one
4. Which artists or experiences influenced your sound?

5. Is there a particular moment related to the creation of the song that you remember with pleasure or satisfaction?
When making both songs, i just remember being at peace. im so used to working alone, that when i was in the booth alone, i just felt in my element. it was great. big S/O to my engineer EddieAmbitions Also. Huge help in everything.
6. What emotions do you hope to convey to the public?
I Just want people to have something new to vibe too and not feel like they are listening to the same stuff from everyone. Any feedback from the people is good feedback, because it will help me mold better music.
7. What can we expect from the future? Do you have any news coming?
A feature with Rylo Rodriguez, Kevin Gates, Est Gee…. Thats kinda all im looking for in the future. Im in album mode right now. looking to drop my first album early December called “Lost files”.
